an undertale remix??? in 2024?? yeah
This is one of those things where I was like "I should remake this" But instead of just recreating it from the ground up, I wanted to try a different style. So I was thinking what style will keep the feel of the original enough but still change it so it doesn't sound exactly the same as the 2015 original? Jungle! Also because I love jungle so, ye.
Hope you liked the ending. I tried comparing it to the old version and it's actually insane how different it sounds now despite using roughly the same sounds. I would hope I improved in the last 9 years lmao.
As for me? Uh, life has been a lot. Just so much adulting that I wasn't ready for, really. From my health insurance cutting me off because they didn't put me on auto pay like I thought they did, to tax problems because my 2021 report was innacurate (despite going to a filer for it) and going through a year long back and forth with the irs, to my car's transmission acting funny and currently on the search for a new one because I'm not paying $6,200 to repair a car as old as that one lmao. So yeah life hasn't been letting me just sit down and work in peace, but I'll be alright! Just wanted to let you know why it's been so hard to be active. 2024 has been a tough year lol. I couldnt find any clear pictures of Waterfall from Horrortale so I guess heres a Sans for all your troubles.
So I decided to take a step into the world of AUs, since the fandom sometimes brand some of my remixes as AU themes, I thought why not directly try and write a theme for an AU? Depends if you guys like it of course lol
Anyway this is Horrortale, apparently its a comic series of which you can find pretty easily on the wiki. I thought the aesthetic was pretty neat so I decided to make a remix sort of inspired by it. Now as for the music itself it definitely isnt my usual high energy type stuff. It does get kinda tiring to only do that constantly of course! So I decided to go for a slower, creepier vibe for this one and even added my own paulstretched noises! I can make some pretty terrifying sounds with my throat :D
I wanted this one to be more atmospheric so nothing filling the empty space except the echoes of other instruments. Gives a feeling of emptiness, yet a looming, lurking presence. Does any of what im saying make any sense or am i talking out of my behind? Probably the latter. Enjoy the song!

Anyway about this track. So I finally discovered OTT. Took me long enough Ikr. Ive been wondering why the basses in a lot of my tracks end up sounding muffled behind everything else and when I realized its because I dont compress them, it was all over. So I downloaded this plugin and now Im trying to experiment with it to make sure I get it right. Its gonna take some practice and a few tracks but hopefully at some point my basses will be more prominent and crisp as it should be in electronic music. Hope you guys enjoy it nonetheless.
I do miss splatoon, ngl and Im hoping there will be a splatoon 3 soon. I didnt really get into splatoon until the second one so Im a fairly new fan, but the second one definitely showed me how fun it is and especially how awesome the music is as well!

Super Metroid is great. Ive beaten it like two months ago because Retro is forcing me to play all the 2D metroids lol. Ive beaten Zero Mission, AM2R, Super Metroid and Im gonna play Fusion soon.
Overgrowth really stood out to me because of that bassline. It was one of my favorites from the soundtrack. There were probably a few others in the soundtrack that I really liked but this one really stood out to me. In fact I loved it so much I finished this song really quickly in one sitting. I dont think Ive had motivation like that in a while.
So for this remix, I went for a Trance kind of vibe because I feel like Metroid really goes well with Trance a lot of the time. Spacey, atmospheric stuff really falls in line with the genre. Though I guess for this one I took its gloomy-ness and turned it into something more uplifting. I hope thats alright with yall.
Also as Im typing this my PC might be on its last legs. Idk what is going on with this thing but I might just end up building a new one because its being super sluggish and lagging all over the place, blue screening, taking forever to boot up and shut down, in fact before uploading this I was spending all day trying to diagnose what the issue is. Whether its the CPU being too old (Its a 4790k), or the drives (My boot drive being an HDD which is 3 years old), idk. But Im leaning more towards needing to build an entirely new computer very soon. Well see how it goes. I hope this doesnt result in inactivity because Ive been having some motivation to create again, finally. blehhh Ill likely scream about it on twitter or something if anything important comes up xD

This one was actually a trade with my partner a couple years ago so the quality may be a bit different than what youre used to, but I still think its decent enough to show! I always loved how relaxing this theme was on its own, a lot of the end game town themes in unova are really pretty and I feel are underrated.
