The approach is very similar to that of SQL 2005 and 2012 so the video is relevant for almost all version of MS SQL. The video covers a basic introduction to what gets backed up and the role of the recovery models in the backup and restore options. The video then moves on the explain what the different recovery models are and finally shows the user how to take a FULL database backup with compression of the Adventure works database in simple recovery model.
The video is the first of a series of videos on MS SQL Server backup and restore technologies and covers many aspects that need to be considered as part of implementing a successful disaster recovery plan.
