Calibration involves applying a known standard to the device input and checking the output to ensure it matches the expected values. During field calibration, this process often utilizes sensors simulated by process calibrators from manufacturers like Fluke, Ametek, WIKA, or Druck. If field calibration does not meet the required precision or industry-standard compliance, laboratory or factory calibration is then performed.
