Intense little intro aside, this was my favorite slide like, ever. As a kid, when I had nothing better to do, I would try to race against my best time on this slide. I don't remember what the time was (if I ever get around to playing my original copy I'll update this part) but I remember being able to slide at breakneck speed without slowing down much.
It's such a cool-looking slide too, all blue; and it's also the first time we get to see a slide this perilous. The part where the ceiling overhead comes off and you get to look all around at the inside of the sewer (it's that sharp turn you kinda have to slow down for) was easy breezy for little me. No, I will not say how many times I've flown off of it playing as an adult today. Okay, fine. It was a lot.
The music here is awesome, by the way. It was my favorite song in the game as a kid. I remember replaying this slide just to hear the music (long before the soundtrack was anywhere online.) It's cool that it's a remix from a song in the movie, when Remy is running through the kitchen after falling through the sunroof, lol.
Oh, and the chase sequence! Yeah, it's hilarious. All the chase sequences are really funny, but my favorite is The City Market's.
