It's very clearly dead. The encounter wouldn't have completed, or even spawned the Pain Elementals, if it wasn't. But the entity remains.
Hitting a trigger that would normally despawn that encounter wouldn't even remove this entity, so now I have an irrational fear of this happening in a real run and causing spawn cap issues.

Not even entirely sure what would've caused it. While I don't have footage of it, I just killed this arachnotron normally, with a frag grenade & dblade.
