Speaking from personal experience, Strinden reflects on the life and legacy of her late husband, a UND-trained physician who spent decades caring for patients across North Dakota and around the world. Her message is clear: healing isn’t just about diagnosis or treatment—it’s about connection, kindness, and seeing people fully.
“You’ve mastered the science,” she tells graduates. “But medicine alone does not heal. People do.”
