In this immersive archaeological adventure, we set out to locate a lost timber trackway—possibly over 3,000 years old—using clues from a 1926 excavation, geophysical surveys, and hands-on detective work. As we dig through layers of history, uncovering ancient planks, Iron Age pottery, and even human bones, the site reveals itself to be far more complex than a simple wooden road. Could this be a ritual boundary, a burial platform, or something else entirely?
Alongside the excavation, we challenge ourselves to reconstruct a prehistoric trackway using authentic Bronze Age and Iron Age tools.
