Decided to try my hand at painting a full portrait on my iPad Pro, using Procreate. The program has a feature that automatically records your entire painting, though it's not the same as actually recording yourself painting as I do on my pc. Instead, it records each individual stroke, so it feels a little choppy and jerky. Not the biggest fan of it, but it's a nice feature at least.
This time I painted a portrait of /u/SHIFTRAGE (reddit.com/r/redditgetsdrawn/comments/4ij8oh/summer_is_here_and_this_is_me_in_the_green_cant/).
I still find working on the iPad Pro a little awkward compared to my cintiq, though I'm continuing to work through it. Sometimes I feel like I'm fighting against the tools, and that certain behaviours are not always reproducible. Also, as I often use color balance to push my colours at various points in my process, it's pretty important to me. I'm glad that this is included in procreate, but it feels a little different from Photoshop's, and the iPad's colour accuracy certainly becomes a factor where pushing the balance a little too far without realizing it can have serious repercussions.
