Vacuum tubes still exist and there is a plentiful supply. One problem is a suitable High Voltage power supply to feed juice to the tubes. Amazon has fixed that problem with an amazing 300VDC 300ma and also furnishing 6.3 VAC at 5 amps* switching power supply. But the most amazing part less than $30 and no hash noise.
*A correction is in order. In the other application of this supply, I used 12 VDC on the filaments for reasons of the tubes used and AC hum. When I actually checked out the 6.3 Volt port today it is 6.3VDC at 5 amps not 6.3 VAC.
So, grab a supply and your favorite tube and let's heat up the shack!
