The daily shorts I've been making have all been shot for wide screen at the same time. What works best for the vertical format isn't always good for the landscape format and vice versa. I did a lot of hand work for this animation that just didn't come through as nice in the portrait orientation. By having my hand in the frame it emphasizes just how small this toy is. Anyway, here are some test edits of cropping and panning within the frame. The second loop is the actual 100% pixel size of what I shot. My camera shoots larger than a 1080 pixel screen so I always scale and crop the edited video.
