NVIDIA's mainstream "Blackwell" GPU, the GeForce RTX 5070, launched for sale to the public more than a year ago on 5 March 2025, where it comes with 6144 CUDA cores and is equipped with 12GB of GDDR7 memory. Times were truly simpler then, before the AI boom that caused memory prices to skyrocket and the GPU market to stagnate - here we are in July 2026, with a new graphics card powered by the RTX 5070, instead of say, the RTX 5000 SUPER series that was delayed due to GDDR7 memory availability and pricing challenges.
For this video, ALKtech unboxes a new premium RTX 5070 graphics card that celebrates Gigabyte's 40th anniversary - the AORUS GeForce RTX 5070 INFINITY 12G. Featuring an eye-catching WINDFORCE HYPERBURST cooler design that's inspired by turbine engines found on jet planes (and is almost certainly overkill for a RTX 5070 GPU), the graphics card is equipped with dual HAWK fans that are supplemented by an Overdrive fan, the use of a composite metal grease as thermal interface material for the GPU, coupled with server-grade thermal conductive gel and a copper contact plate with composite copper heat pipes to keep temperatures at bay. The INFINITY 12G also features a "RGB HALO" lighting effect for a sleek-looking aesthetic.
