Fettercairn sent over its newly launched 12- and 16-Year-Old Highland single malt Scotch whiskies, and we're cracking open the box for a first look. Known for its distinctive tropical fruit-forward house style, Fettercairn uses a unique copper cooling ring distillation process to create a lighter, more expressive spirit before aging it in ex-bourbon barrels. The 12 Year offers notes of vanilla, pear, nectarine, and spice, while the 16 Year builds on that profile with grilled pineapple, honey, poached pear, and warming vanilla. Both are non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV or higher.
