Red-Figure Squat Lekythos

Dimensions: 5x3 1/4in. (12.7 x 8.26 cm)
Plump, black body without subsidiary ornament, strap handle, offset neck. Draped woman seated on a chair (klismos) to right, juggling three balls of yarn, a kalathos basket on the ground behind her.
Old label written in Italic hand: “Greek vase of the AntiChristian epoch, found in a tomb at Annola, Italy - Museum of Naples.”

Condition: three small fragments reattached near chair leg, chip to rim, surface loss at base near woman’s feet, otherwise intact, nice shape with good glossy surface.
