More than a dozen Bulldogs and Gophers represented the USA and countries across the globe at the Winter Olympics
While student Ian Seidenfeld won gold in table tennis at the Tokyo Paralympic Games
And speedskater and future doctor Ilsa Shobe is already training for the 2026 Winter Olympics
Gopher Sports came up big with 3 conference titles in women's hockey, men's hockey, and women's indoor track and field
Bulldog Athletics won its second consecutive conference championship in women’s basketball
The Bulldogs were honored for their work in mental health advocacy with the NCAA Division II 2022 Award of Excellence
While 63 Morris Cougars took home prestigious Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference honors
Crookston hosted its own competition… students competed in six different animal categories at the 46th annual Ag Arama
While history major Emmey Harris advanced to the semi-finals in the $100,000 Jeopardy! National College Championship
And Rochester is guiding 13 pilot campuses across the country in a quest to redesign undergrad degrees
And we came in 1st when First Lady Jill Biden visited our nation-leading Institute of Child Development, highlighting America’s investments in child care
Our faculty are taking home honors too…
University researchers won a $1.8M grant to develop a gene therapy for Cockayne Syndrome–a rare accelerated aging disorder
And 5 faculty were named fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science
Jian-Ping Wang was named to the National Academy of Inventors
While Rajesh Rajamani was named a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
And Samuel Myers Jr. was recognized as one of the most influential Black economists of the last 30 years
As spring nears, we remain hopeful as our many opportunities, from summer camps for youth to concerts and exhibits, welcome Minnesotans of all ages
