🌿 Umar ibn Abdul Aziz — A Return to Just Khilafah
On his deathbed, Suleiman ibn Abdul Malik made a rare and courageous choice: instead of appointing his son or brother, he chose Umar ibn Abdul Aziz as Khalifa. Though people objected, history proved the wisdom of this decision. After his passing, the Umayyads returned to dynastic rule until their fall, followed by the Abbasids, and later periods of turbulence, invasions, and renewal—eventually leading to the Ottoman Khilafah.
