I’m still on my way from San Francisco to Palm Springs. Due to an unforeseen highway closure from foul weather, I was redirected to a coastal route adding hours on to an already lengthy trip. Instead of sitting in traffic I decide to make an unscheduled overnight stop at an Amtrak station. Thanks to the van I get a good night’s sleep and wake up bright and early at 2:30am and hit the road for the remaining 6 hours to Palm Springs. We don’t quite make it to our destination when a bad accident happens in front of us and closes the freeway. I make an unscheduled bio-break while parked on the highway and then we finally arrive in Palm Springs. It is beautiful weather and we spend time together in the sun and under the palm trees as I talk about pet robots.
