After launching SILCA’s (Gen 2) Ultimate Tubeless Tire Sealant, riders kept asking the same questions:
Can you make a better valve?
Can you make better rim tape?
Josh & the team set out to find answers by testing every high-flow tubeless valve on the market and examining why modern sealants and additives were quietly wearing through standard rim tape. They found that most so-called high-flow valves are still restricted by internal cores and small bore diameters, and that many OEM and PET rim tapes are not designed to withstand today’s fiber-reinforced sealants.
SILCA’s Ultimate Tubeless Valves are CNC-machined from solid bar stock and gun-drilled to maximize internal diameter, delivering higher real-world airflow than gimmick high-flow designs while remaining fully compatible with valve cores and tire inserts. A 4mm hex-key interface allows secure, rim-safe installs, and the integrated valve-cap core remover makes sealant service fast and simple.
SILCA’s Ultimate Tubeless Rim Tape was developed to solve a different but equally important problem: abrasion, sealing, and clean removal. Using a three-layer laminated film inspired by industrial sous-vide packaging, the tape combines high strength, high stretch, and a dedicated abrasion-resistant surface. It conforms easily to the rim bed, resists wear from modern sealants, holds pressure up to 120 psi in a single wrap, and removes cleanly without leaving adhesive behind. Each roll also includes high-tack finishing patches to prevent edge lift and ensure a professional-quality install.
Together, these components form a tubeless system designed from the rim outward. Easier tire seating. Better airflow. Longer-lasting sealing. And cleaner service when it is time to refresh your setup.
