I wanted to make sure I had a good run of this before uploading any more runs of this game, and not upload a dozen pbs of mediocre times in this version. This run puts me currently in 2nd place on sr.com behind HeatGaming 7:54 Smoke run. The run had godlike RNG for what I'm used to so far and the pace was pretty much wr pace if Motaro hadn't screwed around so badly.
For this Nightwolf run the Genesis version has a much welcomed advantage of being able to perform drop combos on the female ninjas, which the SNES version couldn't for whatever reason. The other major point is Shao Kahn's hit detection is ludicrous on Genesis and he is kind of an infamous piece of gaming history for many lol, so an intriguing strat I came up with is necessary to consistently kill him in good time that works on punishing him after every barge or knee strike attack. Jump-on combos like I did in the SNES version is suicide unless it's a crossover combo on Kahn wakeup.
The timer was partially visible over the emulator in the top left which I didn't realize until I finished the run.
