29 minutes is very long but I wanted to actually put out an "Ultimate" guide as opposed to the "Ultimate guides" floating around that just give you the basics.
This should contain all the info you need to know about Excavating in Lost Ark.
Starting Excavating already makes a decent profit, but as you level up, the gold income really ramps up.
In T3, with the purple tool, I'm averaging 1641 (Already subtracted market fees) Per full Tradeskill energy bar, and it takes under 40min to use up the whole bar.
As you advance higher in Excavating, the profit will keep going up.
The materials can also be used in crafting endgame Archeology maps.

As for whether to sell the materials for guaranteed profit or try your luck at crafting the maps, here are my results:
T2 moonsbreath= untradeable but are useful if you are still in Tier 2. I had lucky streaks and dry streaks, but overall it averages out to 4-5 moon breath.
T3 materials are tradeable, but the prices will be the deciding factor. Unlike 2 out of 4 friends who was doing this with me, I didn't get lucky with expensive crafting kits, but overall I made steady profit.
