Animarchy History | Ukrainian Heroes of WW2 @AnimarchyHistory | Uploaded 2 years ago | Updated 7 hours ago
Hey guys, this was supposed to be out on Victory Day. But alas. Copyright and discussions of WW2 make uploads a process. And with working on the other videos, including one about our favourite aircraft carrier. I cut it too close.
But. Late or Not. I felt that this was an important video to make as I mark Victory Day every year on this channel. And I have no intentions of missing it. As someone who's entire family of that period served in the RAF. Its important to acknowledge everything they did for us.
As for Ukraine. They suffered horrifically at the hands of the Axis Powers, losing 1 in 8 of its people. And this was after the crimes of the Stalinist regime. Ukraine to this very day bears the scars of those two horrific genocides against their people. But in the cause of freedom they also gave the USSR it's two greatest heroes. One of the most famous snipers in history, and the leading allied ace of WW2. But I include more than just them.
Happy belated Victory Day friends. Glory to the Victors of WW2.
