EU High Representative Kaja Kallas said there is now real movement on air defence support for Ukraine.
Speaking during the Gymnich press conference Q&A in Druids Glen, County Wicklow, Ireland, Kallas said the Member States that made announcements on air defence will make the details public themselves.
She said it was important for Ukraine to hear directly that there is actual progress on air defence — one of Kyiv’s most urgent needs as Russia continues its attacks.
Kallas also addressed new sanctions listings, saying they are already in the pipeline and the EU is aiming for the Foreign Affairs Council in October.
She added that at least one Member State had already presented additional proposals for the listings.
Her message was cautious but positive: air defence support is moving, sanctions work is advancing, and Europe is preparing the next steps to increase pressure on Russia.
