Firstly, I'd like to apologize to Ukimenustah, the author of the script, as I did not realize that I had their name nowhere in the original title or description for the first half-decade this video has been up due to my negligence. I do not claim any ownership of this filter.

secondly, i have disabled comments because i do not wish to be further pestered over something i did not make or have any association with. i apologize for any inconveniences that may cause. do not take your comment on my other videos regarding this video. they will be deleted.

If you're having trouble, please read the following:

1. Please follow the video exactly as I have shown
2. Even if your video is already in AVI, it's not going to work because this requires a different codec.
3. If there's something wrong with that stupid sketchy avi converter site, try using VLC or something.
4. People have been saying there may be something wrong with xvid and it may be unsafe so use with caution. Maybe run it on a virtual machine or something.
5. PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO TRY AND SOLVE THINGS YOURSELF. REMEMBER THAT I DID NOT WRITE THE FILTER AND I KNOW NOTHING OF ITS INNER WORKINGS SO I CANNOT HELP YOU. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I HAVE NOT USED THIS FILTER MYSELF SINCE MAKING THIS VIDEO IN 2017.

WINDOWS ONLY (AVISynth and VirtualDub cannot run properly on Mac or Linux as far as I know)

Another thing worth noting is that the video file will be very large (usually a few gigabytes because it's a raw avi) so you will want to convert it to MP4 which you can do by using Handbrake.

Thanks a trillion for the instructions, it's very kind of you to share A tip for people rendering video with After Effects, you can set the video codec to xvid under Format Options in the Output Module Settings. Also make sure you go into Codec Settings -- Other Options... and untick 'display encoding status' otherwise it'll freeze

major tip when saving a vid, go to video menu and select direct video stream copy, do it because the file size will not be as large as the normal option, usally a 1 min would be almost 2 gb but in this case it would be like half or more of it less

a quick note, if you use vdub x64 it will not work. download vdub x86

This is just a resource to possibly help you get the effect working since its so difficult and convoluted (as of the last time I used it in 2017). I have been getting dumb comments for the past 5 years and I'm sick of it. If you have questions go somewhere else because I didn't write the filter or the software or anything.
