This session explores UKHSA's work on surveillance and preparedness for vector-borne diseases
It is presented by Professor Isabel Oliver, Director General of Science and Research at UKHSA, and Dr Jolyon Medlock, Head of Medical Entomology at UKHSA. They are joined by Professor Lea Berrang Ford Head of the Centre for Climate and Health Security, and Dr Helen Roberts from the Department for Environment, Health and Rural Affairs, Advisor for Exotic Disease Control and Co-chair of the Human Infections and Risk Surveillance Group.
Through this series, we hope to give our partners and colleagues an insight into our work on how we prevent, prepare for and respond to infectious diseases and environmental hazards. To keep all of our communities safe and also to consider the opportunities for us to work together for greater public benefit.
