The UK's CAA announced huge changes to drone rules today, 8 May 2025 including mandatory Remote ID for nearly ALL drones flown in the UK. But there is also great news for larger drones like the Air 3S and Mavic 3 series.
But there is huge debate about mandatory Remote ID on drones, and it's a real shock that this will come in for any model over 100 grams
I outline the rules around small drones and larger drones flown in the UK, including where you can fly and how close you can fly to uninvolved people.
