Is this the best motorhome campsite near London for LPG, facilities and easy train access - Henlow Bridge Lakes Campsite?

I’m at Henlow Bridge Lakes after leaving London and continuing north up the A1. On paper this place has pretty much everything I need: hardstanding, electric, laundry, showers, fishing, food pop-ups and even its own LPG pump but is not that cheap, well not is your a single traveler. If you're a family its amazing value. I’m paying £44 a night with electric, so is it actually worth that for one bloke in a motorhome?
The reason i'm here is to pop into Hitchin, explore the town and grab some food but the trains decide not to play ball, my Bolt driver nearly wipes out a cyclist and I end up wandering around the market, Fleetville Emporium and St Mary’s Church before finally making it to Chicken George. I’ve waited years to try this place, so naturally I order enough food that they recommended I move to a bigger table!
Back at the motorhome I test how useful the site really is as a base, including the four-minute walk from Arlesey station and that very handy LPG pump before I carry on north.
If you know any good towns, historic places, food spots or motorhome stops I should hit as I head further north, drop them in the comments below.
