In this UGREEN Micro B to USB C Hard Drive Cable review I show how I replaced the original USB-A cable on my external hard drive with this USB-C cable so I could connect it directly to my newer computer. I also demonstrate connecting the drive, opening files, and transferring a 2 GB video so you can see how it performs.
One thing I wanted to point out is that although this cable supports transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps, your actual transfer speed is still limited by the speed of your hard drive. In my case, the cable didn't slow anything down and worked exactly as expected.
After using this UGREEN USB C hard drive cable for more than nine months, I can honestly say it's been reliable and has made connecting my older external hard drive much easier without needing an additional USB adapter.
