Tutorial - How to alter the Tim Holtz Layered Butterfly, embossed Bigz diecut LivArtNow 2015-01-28 | Here's the requested tutorial on how to altere the Tim Holtz embossed Layered Butterfly diecut, the way I did the one on the cover of my Wallflower mini album. Hope you find my tutorial helpful :)Link to my Wallflower mini album:youtube.com/watch?v=mx4xS9-2YloSuggested supplies for this project:*First of all you'll need the Tim Holtz Bigz die with embossingfolder called Layered Butterfly, and an apropriate die cutting machine, I'm using my Sizzix Big Shot*Then you'll need some black cardstock, I'm using Bazill, but use what you like. Even cereal box chipboard will do, just paint it black using acrylic paint or black gesso if it's not already black.*Aluminum Foil Tape, it's optional, but it will keep let your diecut hold it's shape better if you want to bend it. You'll find this tape in hardware stores.*Papertowel to rub off excess paint*Some sort of metallic paint or spray/glimmer mists like Lindy's, tattered angels or the ones I use; Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain in Tarnished Brass (Gold) and antique bronze.*Inka Gold or Rubnbuff or similar. I'm using Inka Gold in Lava Green and Browngold. Use the colors you want :)* Black Distress Spray Stain or other black spray, dylusion or similar... but this is optional you could just use black acrylic paint.*Black acrylic paint or paintdabber in black soot.*Spoon charm for the body, I get mine from ebay, etsy or aliexpress sellers.
