In West Yorkshire, a woman at home became aware of an enormous UFO hovering beside the house, close enough for its unusual structure to be clearly seen, including a row of long cylinder-like forms along the craft. The object remained silent before withdrawing slowly and then accelerating towards Skipton. But Silsden already had a strange UFO record: in 1977, Mrs Brenda Helm, an old people’s home warden, reported seeing three UFOs over three months, with one bright silent object also witnessed by her son Alan and a neighbour before it shot upward and travelled towards Kildwick at terrific speed.
