I recently made a realistic Mangekyou Sharingan that used a whole animated and 3D modeled eye and iris where the Tomoe was represented as a new pupil opening. In this Sharingan 2.0 series, I went back to the 2D overlay approach with some additional transformations to cover the whole Uchiha clan Mangekyou patterns, not just the famous ones like Kakashi/Obito, Madara, Sasuke, Itachi, etc. I am recreating the animation for each known Uchiha using 3D noise and smoke materials instead of the solid black filling of the patterns.

The colors at the bottom are synchronized with the timeline so if you jump in the particular time, you get the lightsaber color above (I know, pretty cool, right? Or silly... :D) I got this idea a day before I went to shoot the Jedi vs Stormtroopers fight, Star Wars: Suvivor video. Actually, it was during night. I got this idea in a dream ^_^. I woke up and had to write it down.
