In this video, we review Ubuntu 25.04 and see what new features and bugs (if any) it brings.
I have installed Ubuntu 25.04 on my TUXEDO Infinitybook. Some parts of the video was also recorded on a VM.
🆕 Key Features in Ubuntu 25.04:
Enhanced Installer Experience: Improved dual-boot support with better handling of BitLocker-encrypted disks, making installations smoother for users with existing operating systems.
GNOME 48: Experience refined UI elements, including on-screen display notifications for headphone connections, improved keyboard backlight controls.
Wellbeing Feature: A new addition aimed at promoting digital wellness by allowing users to set screen time limits, movement reminders, and more.
Notification Grouping: Cleaner and more organized notifications by grouping messages from the same application together.
APT 3.0: More visual changes but this time in the terminal. The new APT 3.0 brings better user experience with color codes and helpful warnings for core package removal.
Latest Kernel: Ships with Linux Kernel 6.14, ensuring better hardware compatibility and performance improvements.
