Did Uber quietly change its cancellation fees?
Drivers are reporting changes to the Uber Driver app showing more detailed information about passenger wait times, per-minute wait pay, and cancellation/no-show fees.
One example shows a $5.95 standard no-show fee, raising questions about whether Uber has increased what drivers receive for cancellations or changed how these fees are calculated.
The new screen also provides a clearer breakdown of the wait-time fee. In the example discussed, the driver earns $0.18 per minute, which works out to just $10.80 per hour.
