Uber Announces Immediate Exit From Uganda and Nigeria @newvisionwire

📽️ Ride-hailing company Uber has announced its immediate exit from Uganda and Nigeria following a review of its operations. Uber, which began operating in Uganda in 2016, says the decision is limited to the two markets and will not affect its other operations across Africa.

The company cited business considerations and said it will support affected drivers and employees. Uber help centres in Uganda and Nigeria will remain open until September 23 to address outstanding issues.
