Ravenwing x Birchface will be my favourite Warriors pairing FOREVER. ❤️⭐️ PREMISE OF THE PROJECT:⭐️At their apprentice ceremonies, Ravenpaw is taken under Oatspeckle’s wing to become the next medicine cat while Birchpaw is a warrior trainee. Their romantic feelings for each other slowly start to develop. However, both of them are placed under highly stressful expectations and a clan with very watchful eyes so they must keep their true feelings at bay due to the Warrior Code forbidding such a relationship. As adult warriors the two toms are faced with difficult changes in their lives which become obstacles; Birchface is the leaders’ son and so is set under heavy pressure to be a perfect mentor and role model while Ravenwing isolates himself with medicine cat duties since without his now deceased mentor works alone. Ultimately their lives are met with tragically sudden ends; Birchface dies in a battle for Sunningrocks by drowning while Ravenwing dies for exposing Mapleshade’s secret. A little more than one year ago I decided to create and host this project after being inspired by some amazing fanart of this ship. Since 2018 a MAProject idea has always been whirling in my thoughts. Although the warrior code forbids medicine cats from having mates, the lengths these two would go for each other didn’t stop them from expressing their proclaimed love. 🌺 PREMISE OF THE MAPROJECT: 🌺While an elderly Mousefur is yearning after Spottedleaf, the starclan ghost of her deceased lover appears intending to visit her and show comfort. At that moment, Mousefur starts reminiscing about the memories they treasured when they were young and both alive, from their kithood, apprenticehood & days as grown warriors. Through hardships the two she-cats stuck together, until one unfortunate Shadowclan raid into Thunderclan’s camp. Spottedleaf was murdered inside her own den and Mousefur would be left in a complete, devastating grief for the rest of her life. Spottedleaf, now as a starclan ghost, swore to watch over her loved one every step of the way whilst Mousefur swore that she will patiently await her death to be finally reunited with Spottedleaf in the afterlife. And while the two briefly rejoined during the Great Battle, Spottedleaf was tragically struck for the second time, by Mapleshade’s claws. Mousefur could only watch in shock as the ghost dissolved into nothing, disappearing forever. Just like in the previous entry, the participants/animators had to pick a rare ship or pairing from Warrior Cats (that isn’t problematic ofc) and they were super creative with their own individual ship choices and interpretations. The focus of the MAP is how Alderheart is dealing with an identity crisis of not being able to be a warrior, rather he failed that dream and ended up as a medicine cat. He starts questioning his worth among other Firestar descendants if he failed the most simple warrior tasks as an apprentice. As his huge anxiety bottles up, he enters a sort of daydream state where he is met with criticism from his father, an illusion of Bramblestar. Sparkpelt, his sister comes to comfort him & help him realise that he is still extremely loved by his clan and especially his family. She reminds Alderheart he shouldn’t stress over the expectations of his family’s legacy and that he will always be viewed as an equally special and skilled cat.
