Flat Iron & Pincurl Natural Hair using Chi Air & Its a 10! No Heat Damage Bridgette Bianca 2015-01-26 | Voluminous, Full, Bouncy, Fluffy, Retro Curls on Lightly Flat Ironed/Straightened and Pincurled Natural Hair**PLEASE READ**Shampoo: Carol's Daughter Chocolat (may be discontinued) Deep Conditioner: Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Masque(from Target here http://tinyurl.com/smhmo)Leave-In/Heat Protectant: It's a 10! Leave-In (from Target http://tinyurl.com/10leavein)Blow Dryer: Andis Ceramic Ionic Styler Dryer 1875 (from Target http://tinyurl.com/p5mz7wp)Flat Iron: Chi Air (from Target, similar available)I applied the It's a 10! Leave-In to freshly washed and deep conditioned hair. About two or three spritzes of it for each section (about 6-8 sections). I blowdried my hair on medium then made sure my scalp air dried before I started to flat iron. I set the iron to around 300-330 degrees and did only 1 or 2 passes. I pincurled my hair immediately after each section was done. Covered with a scarf for bed.TO MAINTAIN:Pincurled every night (even if my hair was puffy from the day). Applied a tiny bit of Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Hair Oil (from target http://tinyurl.com/q9y5oy4) to each section as i pincurled them. This oil is light and kept my hair very smooth and soft. I let it sit for a few minutes and then I blow dried with an Andis blow dryer on Medium. The only products on my hair before the rod set were Kinky Curly Knot Today and Alikay Naturals Shea Yogurt.It took a few hours for my hair to air dry on the rods.
