In this lesson you will create an animation from scratch to be used as the sample project for rendering and exporting.

1. Creating a New Composition
1. Methods to Create a New Composition
1. Right-click in the project panel.
2. Click the icon at the bottom of the project panel.
3. Use the top menu: Composition ... New Composition.
4. Keyboard shortcut: Command/Ctrl + N.
2. Composition Settings
1. Preset: 1920x1080 pixels, 24fps.
2. Duration: 8 seconds.
3. Background color: Any.
2. Adding and Animating Background Texture
1. Importing and Fitting Background Texture
1. Select and drag the texture onto the composition window.
2. Right-click ... Transform ... Fit to Comp.
2. Animating with Offset Effect
1. Apply the Offset effect from the Effects & Presets panel.
2. Adjust origin points to animate the texture.

1. Exporting a Frame to Photoshop
1. Top menu: Composition ... Save Frame As ... Photoshop Layers.
2. Check image size and divide by two.
2. Fixing Seams in Photoshop
1. Use the Offset filter with wraparound.
2. Use the Patch tool to fix seams.
3. Save and replace the texture in After Effects.
