In St Andrews 50 of the best under-16 players in the country attended a Talent Identification Camp as they vied for entry to the National Talent Pathway (NTP).

Scottish Rugby coaches cast their eyes on the players over the course of the two-day camp where they assessed their physical and playing abilities. The selected players will then form the National Talent Pathway 1 group for the 2026/27 season.

The NTP acts as the start of the journey to professionalism and gives players across Scotland access to the best facilities, resource and playing opportunities in Scotland.
