Every year, I tell myself I'm going to go easy, and every year, I look at what I've picked up throughout the year and shake my head. This is my absolute favorite season of the year. It's the time when I go all out to make sure Christmas is as magical as it can possibly be.. because let's face it.. those short innocent childhood years are so fleeting, and we never know when the last truly magical one will be! This year, I shopped for Samuel, aged 9, Jacob aged 4, and Emily aged 18 months (at the time of filming.. she is 20 months old now... can you believe that!). Between solo parenting (twice once for 10 days the other for 5) multiple bouts of stomach flu and going through the postpartum phase I've struggled so much.. add in some seasonal depression being stuck at home in the middle of winter I ended up taking an unintentional 2 month break.. Every time I tried to get back into things I'd get sick again and it just wasn't happening for me. BUT Spring is in the air and I'm starting to feel a LOT better.. BABY EMILYS EMOTIONAL BIRTH VLOG/STORY | full term birth after 2 premature births and a stillbirth Tammie Arch 2023-04-07 | Oh boy this is an emotional one. I really wanted to film everything, but everything happened so fast that it just didn't happen! Emily's birth story is one I will cherish forever though. It was the most beautiful (painful) but beautiful, natural and medication free birth I have ever experienced. Getting to hold my baby and not having to let her go right after she was born was the most amazing experience.. those two uninterrupted hours somehow turned into days and now weeks and I'm still loving them just as much now as the moment she was placed om my chest. Sooo... baby girl's name is EMILY VALMAI (baby girl to Jakey or baby emmy to Sam) Emily was a name we all chose together as a family. We all fell in love with it the second we read it off of the list and it just stuck and Valmai is such a special name for me. it was my Nanna's middle name. For those who have been here for a while you would have heard me talk about my nanna and how she was my best friend in the whole world, the one I'd call first with any news good or bad. I miss her dearly but love that she lives on in Emily. I'm literally crying writing this, but both her and my Poppa would be so proud of us and all we have achieved and they would absolutely love Emily just like they loved on Samuel when he was born and how they would have loved on Jacob too. NESTING | 33 WEEKS PREGNANT | PANTRY & LAUNDRY ORGANIZATION Tammie Arch 2023-01-23 | NESTING | 33 weeks pregnant | GET IT ALL DONE WITH ME | Pantry and Laundry makeover!I am in full blown nesting mode.. I've been so busy getting it all done that I thought I was going into pre-term labour! Today we tackled the Fridge, freezer pantry and laundry.. I attempted to clean the windows (they lasted 2 minutes.. literally.. thanks Jake) I washed all of my bedding and attempted to kill a bunch of pesky spiders. I'm now officially at that point though where I can NOT do it all anymore.. As much as i'm trying to "keep up" the pelvic and pubic bone pain along with the back pain/sciatica is so intense it forces me to rest... but it does feel good to be so organised (well as much as can be). Stress free CHRISTMAS EVE 2022 | GET IT ALL DONE WITH ME | 30 Weeks Pregnant | VLOGMAS day 24 Tammie Arch 2022-12-30 | This year coming into the holiday season being 30 weeks pregnant I had one goal.. A stress free Christmas. My main goal was to avoid stressing about making sure i filmed every moment and that my house was Pinterest clean and that everything was perfect.. and you know what.. it turns out having a more relaxed approach made for the best Christmas I've ever had! Not only was I happy and relaxed but so were Matt and the boys.. no yelling, no tears just pure love and laughter. Was Samuel's room clean.. NO (but I will admit he did try and clean it without being asked or nagged all by himself for the big visit). Were my windows clean and fingerprint free.. Nope.. Were the floors freshly mopped.. again nope.. did I have washing on the line.. Yep! honestly none of that matters.. not to the kids and not to our guests.. what is truly important is the people you have around you to spend the day with and something I will take with me moving forward is that they wont remember the mess but they will remember how mum had a great day too(with no yelling)! I know, I know there is a lot! but.. 6 weeks of 2 kids at home while also being in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy I was desperate to find a bunch of activities that we could do at home.. Also wanted to mention we don't have a lot of family.. or family that buy for our kids so this is pretty much what they will get for the most part! *disclaimer.. obviously everyone's budget varies.. please don't be offended or upset by what I got my kids. We are all just doing the best we can as parents and I'm sure no matter what you have got for your kids their day will be just as special xPS. A very merry CHRISTMAS GROCERY HAUL | Avoiding the crowds & crazy this holiday season! VLOGMAS day12 Tammie Arch 2022-12-09 | OK.. I have a plan.. My plan this year is to avoid as much of the crazy as possible this holiday season by being prepared (and I think its actually working!) This year we are celebrating with a breakfast with my father in law and then rather than trying to squeeze in lunch, because lets be honest who is ever actually hungry after a big breakfast and nibbles on Christmas day.. we will have a share platter out around lunch time to nibble on and then our big meal of the day will be an amazing Christmas dinner/feast with turkey, ham and all of the trimmings.. where we have opened up our home to all of our friends that don't have any other place to be on the day. So it may just be us.. or it may be a full house, either way there will be loads of food.. plenty of cooking inspo coming your way and by the end of the day we will all no doubt be wearing stretchy pants hahaMy thoughts were that this way we can all relax and enjoy the day together without feeling rushed or frazzled, I can enjoy watching the kids open their presents and we can go for a drive to see Baby Jackson without needing to be anywhere at any particular time.. 27 Weeks PREGNANT | GETTING READY BABY GILRL | VLOGMAS day 10 Tammie Arch 2022-12-07 | Its time!! we are starting to get ready for baby girl to come home.. as a preemie mama (all of our babies have been super early) the only way for me to relax is to have it all done and ready to go! Today the boys helped me set up and get our room ready for her and I love everything about it, especially that they were a huge part of making it what it is! If you think I'm missing something (because lets be honest here baby brain has been bad this time around) please let me know! but I hope you all love it as much as I do.
