Beethoven's Sonata No. 8, Pathétique in C minor, Opus 13, in my opinion, was the first of Beethoven's Sonatas composed with a different tonal structure and feel. A definite foreshadow to future Beethoven compositions. The use of silence in the music, Sforzandos, as well as key and tempo changes, make this Sonata very dramatic and a pleasure to perform. A true Beethoven masterpiece!
