Tyson Fury Fight BRANDED As ‘Cash Out’ For Anthony Joshua..
Welcome back to Sports Shelter. British boxing superstar Tyson Fury announced his return to the sport after the mega-showdown between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. As the latter emerged as the victor, the news of a potential Fury vs. Usyk fight broke out. However, Fury wants to fight AJ in an all-British fight before his clash with Usyk. American promoter Lou DiBella was in conversation with ‘SecondsOut’, where he offered his insights on the upcoming fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
DiBella stated, “But coming off that fight, two losses in a row, rushing to make year-end, to fight Fury on Fury’s timetable when you haven’t had the easiest stretch and you haven’t won a fight in a while… it almost seems like a cash-out to me. Like, you know: ‘Hey, here’s maybe my last opportunity to make this fight ever.’” He further added, “I guess there’s nothing of the enormity of Fury and Joshua in the UK, and that maybe everybody involved just wants to grab the cash when there’s still a chance, right? There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s not the fight I most want to see.” The fight is rumored to take place on December 3rd. Also, it is speculated that the event will be held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. ‘The Gypsy King’ turned into a professional boxer in 2008, and has been undefeated since then. However, now he will be going up against a very tough opponent, Oleksandr Usyk. The two will have a chance to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. But the British boxer wants to fight AJ first, which has raised speculations in the boxing industry. Tony Bellew, a former boxer, has offered his speculation on the subject, and said, “I don’t want to say he doesn’t fancy it against Oleksandr Usyk but let’s be honest, it’s not an easy proposition is it? He’s had two opportunities now to face Oleksandr Usyk, and he’s knocked them both back. That’s not my opinion, that’s a fact. For someone who is a so-called middleweight, I don’t see what the problem is.”
