This three-part video series is for those who have mostly or entirely been going it alone in their attempts to self-type within the Myers-Briggs Temperament Indicator system; who think they might be INTP but, after an already long investigative process, are still struggling with their doubts about that.
In **Part 1 into 2** of this series I describe some predictable stumbling blocks and blind spots many INTPs would be likely to encounter in self-typing without training or outside assistance. (And, understandably, maybe even with them!) In **Part 2** I explain how those special difficulties could be related to the dominant and inferior cognitive functions in this type. In **Part 3** I suggest some differentiating questions that might help eliminate other types as possibilities (INFP, INTJ, INFJ, and ENTP).

. . . that I also felt 100% confident was correct. Of singer // songwriter // musician *** ELLIOTT SMITH (1969 - 2003) ***. Perhaps those of you who are INFPs or who, like me, have known and loved many INFPs, will quickly understand why. ;-) Well see . . .
The lightning-round typing of Elliott Smith happened watching the first 18 seconds of a 1998 MTV interview of the musician and songwriter by a whipper-snapper Carson Daly the first video footage Id ever seen of Smith: this extracted 3-min. clip, specifically: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSqumt6Bt-g&t=38s
If youd like to see more of what he was like and think about the matter yourself, I suggest watching this whole Elliott Smith interview compilation reel I referred to in the video (which includes at the beginning a fresh-faced Lou Barlow [ ! ], talking with Smith about the ups and downs of touring): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0reukeg4q0&t=707s
//// One of Elliott Smiths many great songs, Somebody I Used To Know (2000) from the album Figure 8: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaBdt9lwvQQ //// Fastest armchair-typing, ever (INFP)*](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/e6gyQzldjyw/mqdefault.jpg)
