We are starting out mild and muggy with temperatures in the 70’s. Highs this afternoon will reach the low-to-mid 90’s north of I-10 and upper 80’s to near 90 degrees at the beaches. Heat index will top out between 100 and 105 degrees. A few showers and storms are possible mainly this afternoon along the sea breeze, but most stay dry. Through the rest of the week, rain chances increase Thursday into Friday as more moisture moves into our area. These rain chances look to mostly stick around through the weekend. It is not looking like a washout, but more showers and storms will be around each day. Highs will stay in the low-to-mid 90’s. In the tropics, we are tracking Edouard that made landfall along the Texas/Louisiana coast Tuesday afternoon. It will continue to weaken as it moves inland, and will become regular low pressure sometime today. The rest of the tropics are quiet.
