Typhon still running like a champ. I put a Mr. Hankey doll on the back and you can barely see his Chrismas poo hands in the rear view mirror. Looking back I can see a vast improvement in the overall FPV performance of this rig compared to what I first had running with a cheapo DEERC. Back then I had a mostly stock DJI setup and would struggle to get around the adjacent complex. Now it seems like I can put a few of them in the way before I have to start worrying about it. I didn't push below about 15Mbps in this video but the layout of the location always plays an interesting role with the digital rigs. I don't have LOS from home in any direction out past tens of feet so I have a lot of trouble with multi-pathing on analog rigs, especially 1.2ghz, but the DJI is able to reject out of phase reflections and use the good ones. So depending on obstacles you go around, and what's nearby those obstacles.. you are much more likely to end up with signal some kind of way behind a bunch of obstruction even though it's 5.8Ghz. This will not be the case typically if you are out somewhere in the wide open but then put obstructions in the way at range, because there is nothing around for reflection.
If the DJI had better darkness handling I could def do some cool night time strolls. After a few decent trips with this thing and no issues to be found, I can worry a lot less about something happening if I see a good opportunity to try taking it out really far. I traction rolled it one time going overboard but landed on my wheels luckily, so you still have to take it easy unless you're real good at judging the surface you're on at the time.
