Tyla and Janet Jackson collaborate in my mashup titled 'Water For You'. It features Tyla's hit single 'Water' from her debut self titled album and Janet Jackson's classic single 'All For You' from her album of the same name. I had this idea last Summer and it was supposed to be a follow up to my Janet x Ciara mix but I continued my tradition of posting mixes traditionally late! It was interesting watching people compare Tyla's 'Water' to artists such as Aaliyah, Christina Millian and Rihanna. Meanwhile, it led me to think of Janet, she birthed the majority of the girlies and knows how to give a sensual bop in a classy way similar to 'Water'. I love how they sound together, Janet's background vocals are heavenly. I had the pleasure of using her vocal stems which was pretty onerous as they weren't mastered and I HATE mastering, but I tried my best to make it sound as official as possible.
