This is how to use the effects on the TX-6 mixer from Teenage Engineering.Some people asked me about the difference between FX1 and FX2 so I made a video about it.
Basically, there are 2 FX strips built in. FX 1 is a send effect (like reverb and delay..). You can set it and then adjust the amount of it each track that goes to it (none to a lot). FX 2 is an insert effect. It can either go on everything or just one track (I wonder if they can change that in the future with an update though...) This is for adding things like distortion or bit crushing effects on a specific instrument (or everything).
There is also an AUX out you can run into a guitar pedal and then back into the mixer. Oh, and the headphone jack has a mic in for headsets that can get affected by reverb or delay. With an adapter you could probably set that up as another instrument. I’ll make a video about them another day. I hope that helps. I'm not the best at explaining things in words so I thought a video might make it easier to see.By the way, I recorded all of this audio straight out of the TX-6 into the iPhone that was filming this.
