Getting storage and voiding out during this cutscene lets you skip it. Normally though you're blind so I included free cam to help show what is happening.
The water has an edge on this map and thats why Link just falls into the void after superswimming.
Another major consequence of skipping this cutscene is that it skips a save warp flag that normally forces all save warps to be on FF1. This means that your save warp will take you back to the pirate ship. As a result, getting the gossip stone and save warping back to the pirate ship means you can immediately get bombs. Saving quite a bit of time in a 100% TAS.
