Main Street through Stratford, Connecticut runs between a dense collection of shops and restaurants and a town green. However, almost all of the right-of-way is dedicated to either moving or parking cars in this center of the community. I document what I find to be the deficiencies of the street from a pedestrian point of view, and show two plans for how this street could be reconfigured - one from the town itself as their chosen design, and one that I drew up on my own.
