I explain why you would plant two pecan trees in one hole and how to prune the two pecan trees to keep them 'small'. The multiple trees in one hole technique has been popularized by Dave Wilson Nursery as part of their 'backyard orchard culture' message but I am yet to see someone else try it with pecan trees. I don't know if this planting will continue to be successful but for now it is producing well!
