Two dogs receive critical care. Manning, a Labrador Retriever hit by a car, undergoes successful surgery with Dr. Bianucci to fix his fractured hip and is sent home to recover. Simultaneously, a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier named Olive is brought to Dr. Mayers for rapid weight loss. Initially suspected of having a fatal disease, she is diagnosed with and successfully treated for inflammatory bowel disease. A later check-up reveals new lumps, which are found to be benign fatty tumors. Both animals ultimately make a full recovery.

Three American veterinary clinics open their doors and bring viewers inside their world of animal rescue.
