Meet John Palacio, LCRA's Regional Affairs rep for the upper basin, who's been volunteering in construction for 20 years. Through UM Army, a church camp that brings together junior high and high school students from across Texas, John teaches kids hands-on building skills while serving their community.
His team volunteers to build ramps for disabled residents, awnings for food banks, decks and more. For John, it's about more than construction. It's teaching the next generation how to lead by example and give back.
