Week 2 of Mike N2MAK's Five Two Simplex Challenge brought two solid contacts on 146.52 MHz — one just a few miles out and one reaching an impressive 37 miles on pure simplex. Every call and every contact is recorded on video as irrefutable proof of what 2-meter simplex can actually do. The band isn't dead — you just have to keep showing up.
